Andre Marshall registered a match haul of nine for 55 as Massy Stores Spartan eased their relegation worries by thrashing ESA Field Pickwick by an innings and 94 runs inside two days on the final day of their fifth round Barbados Cricket Association Elite Division match yesterday.

Resuming on 11 for two overnight, Pickwick were dismissed for 50 and as Spartan enforced the follow on, they were then dismissed for 57 in their second turn at the crease to fold tamely in a match that had no play on the first day because of wet conditions.

Spin was in command as Marshall snatched seven for 35 in the first innings and Sulieman Benn took three for seven with their slow left-arm spin. Jared Gilkes (20) and Adeko Collymore (10) contributed to the meagre total.

Leg-spinner Joshua Drakes starred in the second innings taking four for eight with off-spinner Chaim Holder chipping in with three for 16 while Marshall took two for 25. (AH)
