‘Keep Customs in control’

An opposition member is accusing Government of pursuing a plan that could put Customs officers’ lives at risk.

St James Central MP Kerrie Symmonds laid the charge in a fiery rebuke of the stewardship of Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and his ministers, particularly Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite.

To sounds of agreement from party faithful packed into a room at Ellerton Primary School on Sunday night for the annual general meeting of the Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) St George South branch, Symmonds criticised Brathwaite.

He accused him of saying the Government would put cameras inside the airport and seaport when “they were there from ever since”. (WILLCOMM)
