Composed and confident, Alleyne regally rolled back the years in a vintage display Sunday night to help Pan American Insurance Warrens win the Barbados Amateur Basketball Association’s Division 1 Knockout title for the second straight year.
Alleyne scored a team-high 23 points, adorned by with three terrific three-pointers as Warrens staved off a pesky Police Sports Club 80-69 in the final at the Barbados Community College.
Featuring four past Barbados players in Alleyne, captain Kirk Austin, Zahir Motara and Pearson Griffith, Warrens were definitely too strong and had too much depth for Police, who were beaten but not disgraced. (EZS)
