Toners keep up their winning ways

BURGER KING Clapham Toners maintained their impressive run in the Goddard Enterprises Limited volleyball league when the action continued Wednesday night at the Wildey Gymnasium.

With a stellar performance from young Aaliyah Durant, Toners eclipsed Phoenix Security Services Carlton 25-21, 24-26, 25-12, 25-19. Carlton were on a euphoric flight after their last game stunner over UWI Blackbirds.

Six-footer Rhea Bryant continued her great form for Carlton with greater consistency coming from Ayesha Maycock.

However, Durant found a better support crew in Ashley Jordan and the experienced Shennel Pooler for Toners to move to 2-0 while dropping Carlton to one win from three games. (KB)
