BWU, CBC impasse deepens

With both the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) and management of the state-run corporation refusing to budge from their respective positions, prolonged changes to Channel 8 and CBC’s three radio stations are expected.

Industrial action moved into its third day yesterday, with just over 20 employees opting to sit outside the premises of the Wildey, St Michael organisation, following a breakdown between the union and CBC management over the payment of increments.
