There are no untouchables in the Royal Barbados Police Force. Not when it comes to breaking the law.

Members who do will be dealt with to the full extent of the law, says Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith, who was speaking before the announcement of his appointment.

According to Griffith, any time wrongdoing is suspected within his ranks, an investigation will be launched, and if necessary, prosecution will follow. 

“We believe in the rule of law, and it doesn’t matter who it is or what position they are. We will take what action we have to take,” Griffith insisted in a recent interview with the Sunday Sun. “I wonder what more evidence would be necessary to prove otherwise?” he asked. (BA)
