Don’t abort!

A Christian pro-life organisation believes women who get pregnant after being raped should carry those children to term, as it pushes its mandate to stamp out all abortions in Barbados.

But acting executive director of the Barbados Family Planning Association (BFPA), Anderson Langdon, says women have fought hard for the right to choose and they have come to expect safe and legal abortions on the island.

Yesterday, Kamille Martindale, director of the three-year-old organisation Unborn Justice, and her fellow directors were guests of the Collymore Rock Church of the Nazarene, where she introduced the registered charity to members of the congregation.

Martindale later told the DAILY NATION their vision was “to see abortion eradicated and every unborn child’s purpose fulfilled”, even if that child was the product of a rape. (HLE)
