Braves outslam Cleaners for title
CARLTON and A1 Braves are the champions of the Dragon Stout 125 Points Dominoes Tournament.
The Braves defeated RM Cleaners 125-120 in an exciting final on Sunday at Brydens, with the husband and wife combination of Hamilton Durant and Charmaine Durant leading the way with 33 points. The consistent pair of Ralph Bailey and Carolyn Harbin-Goddard chipped in with 27 points.
RM Cleaners’ main player James Patterson, who played with four different partners in the tournament, decided to play with former national netballer Cheryl Piggott in the final, but struggled. The other key pair David Alleyne and Allison Renee, also failed to deliver.
In the third-place game, QEH outplayed Welchman Hall 125-100, with Nathaniel Wharton and Clement Hunte pounding the tables for a whopping 37 points. (EZS)
