Police have arrested and charged four schoolboys in relation to a social media posting and voice note showing a Deighton Griffith Secondary School student being attacked and beaten by several boys from Christ Church Foundation School.

One 15-year-old and three 13-year-olds have been jointly charged with inflicting bodily harm on the 13-year-old boy on November 9.

The attack occurred as he walked along Church Hill Road, Christ Church, on his way home from school.

The four boys appeared before Magistrate Elwood Watts in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court today.

The 15-year-old was remanded to the Government Industrial School (Dodds) until November 27, 2017.

The other three boys were granted bail in the sum of $1000 with one surety and they will return to court on January 31, 2018.

As part of their bail conditions, they are prohibited from going on the compound of the Deighton Griffith school and have been placed on a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew. (PR/NB)
