Green House are the new champions of the St Stephen’s Primary School’s Inter-house Championships.

With an outstanding performance by victor ludorum Ratanang Barker yesterday at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex, Green amassed 534.50 points to force last year’s champions Yellow to settle for the second place.

Yellow totalled 494 points, while Blue and Red placed third and fourth, respectively, with 474 and 439.50 points.

Barker won the 800 metres open run, Under-13 boys’ 400 metres, 100 metres and the 200 metres events.

He placed third in the 11-12 long jump, and fourth in the cricket ball throw.

Last year’s victor ludorum Ziko Rogers, of Red House, placed second in the 800, 100, 200, 400 metres and the long jump, but won the cricket ball throw with 54.45 metres.

Yellow House missed their opportunity to do the double, but still had something to brag about when Kadia Rock ran away with the victrix ludorum title, tallying 48 points.

She won the 400 metres, 200 metres and 100 metres, but placed second in the cricket ball throw.

Though Rock was the queen of the track, Abilla Clarke of Green House dominated the field events. She won the gold medal in the cricket ball throw and the long jump. (RG)
