Woman’s body found at bus shelter

Police are at this time on the scene at the Princess Alice Highway conducting investigations into an unnatural death following the discovery of a woman’s body at a bus shelter there this morning. 

Public relations officer of the Royal Barbados Police Force Inspector Ronald Cobbler confirmed to NATION NEWS that the body of the woman who appears to be in her 60s or 70s was discovered by a member of the public sometime after 6 a.m.

Motorists have been asked to stay away from the area.

Police public relations officer Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler said foul play is suspected and police will await the results of a postmortem to determine the cause of death.
