Oops, she did it again! Hannah Chambers has herself yet another tennis title, having gone on the South American continent to win the doubles crown of the Banana Bowl in the Brazilian clay.

Pairing with COTECC doubles partner Deborah Dominguez Collado, the 13-year-old Chambers capped an impressive finals run by coming from a set down to upend the second seeded Paulina Franco Martinessi and Solana Sierra 3-6, 7-5, [10-4].

It was quite the performance from Chambers and Collado, who defeated the three highest ranked doubles teams in succession to win the tournament.

Collado and Chambers narrowly survived No.1 seeds Gabriella Cortes Flores and Fiorella Duran Montaño 6-3, 5-7, [11-9] in the quarterfinals before also edging the draw’s second seeded doubles pairing.

This is just days after Chambers had match points to advance to the quarter-finals of the singles draw before succumbing to a heart-breaking 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 defeat to Paraguayan No. 1 Leyla Britez Risso. (JM)
