Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, June Chandler, has confirmed that tuition fees for Barbados Scholar, Hailey Laurayne, have been paid.

She said investigations conducted by the Ministry into the circumstances surrounding non-payment of fees on behalf of Laurayne have revealed that the University of Southampton, where Laurayne is currently a student, has received payment.
