St Philip man wins $100 000 plot of land
A St Philip man is now the owner of a $100 000 plot of land as a result of the Banks Beer promotion Cheers To My Land.
Anderson Baker’s was the lucky entry to be pulled from over 100 000 entries. The draw was made at Oistins Bay Garden, Christ Church, on Friday.
Barker, of Eastbourne, who said he had submitted more than 100 entries between last December and February 15, was shocked at his good fortune.
“I didn’t expect to win. I feel great because right now I’m renting land. Still, I haven’t made up my mind on what I’ll do with the prize,” he said.
Marketing manager at Banks Holdings Ltd, Shafia London, said the competition sought to reward the brand’s loyal fans and they were always looking for new ways to give back to customers.
“We thought that there was no better way to say ‘thank you’ to our fans than by giving away a piece of The Rock,” she said.
To enter, patrons had to collect eight specially made blue beer crowns, place them in an envelope with contact information, and answer the question, “What country is Banks the beer of?” correctly. (PR/TG)
