Reifer hunting a century in Under-19 Trial

Opener Nico Reifer will be looking to make a century after starring with the bat on a low-scoring opening day, dominated by bowlers in the first Barbados Under-19 three-day cricket trial match at Queen’s Park on Saturday.

Reifer was unbeaten on 81 as Shian Brathwaite closed the day on 144 for four, replying to a modest total of 158 by Nyeem Young’s team. Reifer has so far hit 11 fours and a six off 132 balls in 169 minutes at the crease.

The match continues on Sunday.
