June Haynes, who was yesterday tearful, is feeling relieved this morning.

The iceboat Pearlita, captained by Kurt Watson, and carrying her adoptive brother Michael Hawkesworth has been found in Venezuela.

The two left Barbados on March 26 on a fishing trip and after an initial SOS about a week after, there had been no contact or word of them until today.

Haynes said she received information from caretaker Randolph Blackman that the boat was found.

It is believed that Watson and Hawkesworth were rescued and taken for medical attention.

Haynes was unable to reach Hawkesworth by cell phone but she left a message.

Efforts to reach the Coast Guard have been unsuccessful so far. (KG)
