Grenville Phillips II, founder and political leader of Solutions Barbados, is contending that his party remains strong despite threats of resignations from some members of the group.
The DAILY NATION was reliably informed that some members tendered their resignations last week during a heated meeting at the party’s headquarters, following a disagreement with a clause in a contract which they were asked to sign.
Reports indicated that the members subsequently retracted their resignations.
Phillips said he had always let it be known that persons joining the party would be held accountable to its policies.

“Every candidate must sign a contract where they agree to pay a severe financial penalty if they vote against specific policies, that we promised Barbadians would protect them from certain economic ruin.”
