Man who robbed Maxine McClean sentenced

The man charged with robbing and punching former Senator Maxine McClean was sentenced to a total of 26 months in prison today.

Ansley Worrell, 30, of Woodbourne Park, St Philip, was jailed for six months for assaulting her and 18 months for robbing her of her bags and contents on February 10 this year by Magistrate Graveney Bannister this morning.

He was also sentenced to one month each for two other charges.

Worrell had pleaded guilty to robbery and assault when he appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court in March. (HLE)
