Health care across the Caribbean can’t compare with that of Barbados.
That was the view of Democratic Labour Party candidate for Christ Church South and Minister of Health John Boyce during his address at Checker Hall, St Lucy, on Monday.
He said Barbados would be making an appearance at the World Health Assembly in Geneva, where the island was held in high esteem in the area of health care.
“It is the best plan in the region, so when I hear people talk about Barbados is this and Barbados is that, I visit countries in the Caribbean too and I know that you visit the Caribbean too and none of them can compare with Barbados in terms of delivery of social care and social services generally.
“None of them can compare with Barbados in terms of general and overall development and infrastructural development and strength,” he said.
Boyce explained that in his position as minister he oversaw a team of workers at the polyclinics, general hospital, geriatric institutions and private elderly care homes and he was sure that what Barbados had to offer would be envied across the world. (RG)
