Tudor vows to improve St Michael North

Kim Tudor will be a game changer in the restoration of Eden Lodge and St Michael North.

This is what the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) candidate told supporters in Eden Lodge last night.

The first time hopeful stressed that Barbados Labour Party incumbent Ronald Toppin had 24 years to do it but it hasn’t been done and she charged this was because of his disinterest in constituency.

But Tudor told the people that she wasn’t afraid of hard work and that is what she was prepared to invest in all constituents so as to make St Michael North a beacon of economic and social progress.

“The BLP said I couldn’t come to Eden Lodge.  Here I am tonight. . . . I didn’t wait until I was elected representative to start working. From the time I came into this constituency I have been working. I have come into this constituency and done quite a bit [and] I haven’t said I am not the MP,” she stressed.

“I want you to recognise that your MP gets a salary, a constituency allowance to do certain things in the constituency, he is getting a constituency house paid for, and his assistants paid for, who gets a considerable sum. . . . yet he is never present for constituents to give them a simple reference letter.

‘Come back, come back, come back’, is what he tells you. I want you to recognise [this]. . . . I don’t have to tell you what he does or doesn’t do because you know,” Tudor added. (SDB Media)
