Early closure of schools on eve of General Elections

The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation advises principals and other members of the public that all public nursery, primary and secondary schools and tertiary institutions will close early at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23.

This closure is to allow the personnel from the Electoral and Boundaries Commission to undertake the necessary preparations for the General Elections, which will be held on Thursday, May 24.

The Ministry has also advised the principals of all private nursery, primary and secondary schools that are being used as polling stations to close at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23.

Additionally, all schools will be closed on Election Day.
