The Royal Barbados Police Force announces the following temporary traffic changes which will take effect at 8 a.m. on Tuesday June 5, 2018.
From 8 a.m. until the end of the event, Lower White Park Road, Palmetto Street, Marhill Street, Wharf Road from its junction with Bridge Street to the junction with Hincks Street; Rickett Street; Trafalgar Street; High Street, and Upper Broad Street from its junction with Prince William Henry Street to its junction with High Street shall be closed to vehicular traffic.
From 8 a.m. Bridge Street (Charles Duncan O’Neal Bridge) will be a one-way street to vehicular traffic from Trafalgar Street towards Fairchild Street.
Police officers will be posted at strategic intersections along the route of the convoy in order to assist with traffic flows and to enforce traffic restrictions.
Vehicles will not be allowed to park or remain stationary on the following roads, except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers

The following will be closed to all vehicular traffic between 8 a.m. and noon except for buses of the Transport Board and event vehicles: Bridge Street, Charles Duncan O’Neal Bridge and St Michael Row.
Only event vehicles, e.g. those carrying officials and dignitaries, coaches carrying specially invited guests, vehicles of or being used by the emergency services should be allowed to enter the cordoned area.
Pedestrians will be directed by police officers who will be on duty at various points. They will not be allowed to enter the cordoned areas but will be ushered along predefined routes.
The general public is asked to note that they can anticipate significant traffic congestion, delays and disruption to regular traffic flows.
To mitigate this, there will be an increased number of police motorcycle patrols and police officers on foot patrol who will be regulating traffic at various points.
The Ministry of Public Works will also assist by having all traffic lights in the immediate vicinity placed on flashing mode.
