Twenty-four hours after a deadly burst of gunfire rocked the St James district of Orange Hill, resulting in the death of Renaldo Foster, both his family and those familiar with him are still looking for answers.
Foster, of Beckles Road, Orange Hill, was gunned down outside the home he shared with his girlfriend and child by two men.
The 31-year-old was originally from Six Men’s, St Peter.
His mother, Antoinette Foster, who lived in Six Men’s, said she wanted somebody to pay for the loss of her only son.
“When I got the news I didn’t take it well because that is my only child. No mother would take something like that well, [so] I’m just trying to cope with it.
“Everybody trying to hold up for me and I’m trying to hold up for them,” she told Starcom Network.
“No matter what, this is not the way to take down [anybody’s] child. So I want somebody to pay for it.”
Marva Mayers, of Beckles Road, remembered Renaldo as a helpful person.
“This is the first time anything like this ever happened out here. This thing happened after 4 p.m. (Tuesday) and then long, long after, the police came and then the ambulance came after.
“I was sitting down in the chair when I heard the shots,” she told said. (TG)
