Mottley makes CSME presentation

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley today presented a report on the Caribbean Single Market Economy (CSME) to Heads of Government across the Caribbean.

It was proposed to the group of leaders at the 39th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Community in Montego Bay in Jamaica, that a special meeting of Heads take place addressing the issue of the CSME as soon as possible. The leaders discussed the possibility of that special meeting being held in Trinidad in November.

Heads were also locked in discussions on the possibility of signing the Protocol on Contingent Rights during the meeting in Jamaica, which would allow dependents of skilled nationals to live and work as well. (CM)
