Members of the public are invited to register on the ideas4barbados forum, which is now live at https://labour.gov.bb/ideas4barbados.

During her presentation of the Mini-Budget last month, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley stated that Barbadians would be allowed to play their part in the rebuilding of the country. Subsequently, persons were encouraged to submit suggestions on how to improve Barbados by emailing ideas4barbados@barbados.gov.bb.

Network administrator at the Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations, Paul Mayers, explained that the ideas submitted by email were read and categorised in the forum according to the duties of the specific Ministry.

“The public is not allowed to create topics on the forum but to comment. Topics are created by the moderators based on the ideas submitted by email, and representatives from each Ministry will moderate the forum for their respective Ministry,” he stated.

Mayers added that persons could also visit https://labour.gov.bb, and click on the logo on the left under “Additional Features”, to access the forum. (BGIS)
