All roads lead to the Republic Bank Grand Kadooment.

On Wednesday morning, the title sponsor of the annual spectacle presented an $85 000 cheque to the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) at their Broad Street branch.

After remarks from the NCF’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Wayne Webster and General Manager of Retail Banking Sharon Zephirin, Barbadians received a taste of what’s to come.

During the mini Kadooment, there were cultural displays from the tuk band, stilt walkers and several bands including Colorz Entertainment, Lux Carnival were represented.

Their masqueraders brought town to life and brought traffic to a crawl and they danced along Broad Street to the sweetest sounds of the season, they made their across Charles Duncan O’neal Bridge before ending at Independence Square.

Grand Kadooment is scheduled for August 6. (TG)
