One dead, another wounded, following post cruise carpark ambush

One man is dead and another wounded after they were ambushed in the early hours of this morning following a boat cruise.

The police say the shooting occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the carpark area east of the Flour Mill, off Spring Garden Highway, St Michael.

The two males who had attended a cruise on board The Dream Chaser had just disembarked and were making their way towards their vehicle in the said carpark when they reportedly heard a series of loud gunshots.

One man received injuries to his left thigh, he was later transported by private transportation to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. 

The other person, who was identified by family members as Donason Ricardo Husbands, 26 years, of Fairfield Road, Black Rock, St Michael, received a number of wounds about his body. He was transported to the QEH by ambulance, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel. (SB)
