UPDATE: 53-year-old latest shooting victim

Police are currently on the scene of a shooting in Silver Hill Drive, Christ Church.

Police public relations officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss told THE NATION that law enforcement officials responded to report of the incident around 7:45 this morning.

Upon investigation, police discovered a 53-year-old man had been shot, and transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

While his status remains undisclosed at present, Inniss said police are still carrying out investigations.

Inniss also appealed to the public to assist, if possible, by contacting either Oistins Police Station at 416-2612 or the police emergency line at 211. (AD)
