Queen’s, Harrison take lion’s share of scholarships
Queen’s College and Harrison College continued the trend of dominating the Barbados Scholarships and Exhibitions.
However, there is a newcomer to the arena as the St Michael School was awarded both its first scholarship and exhibition this evening as Minister of Education Santia Bradshaw made the announcement at the Erdiston Teachers’ Training College.
This year, Queen’s College was awarded ten scholarships and 17 exhibitions at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) level.
Meanwhile, Harrison was awarded 12 scholarships and ten exhibitions.
For the first time in its history, the St Michael School was awarded a lone scholarship and three exhibitions.
The Barbados Community College was also awarded three exhibitions at the Associate Degree level. (AD)
