Fogging schedule August 13 to 17

The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will continue its fogging programme aimed at eradicating the Aedes aegypti mosquito next week.

On Monday, August 13, the team will be in St John fogging Small Hope, Carter’s Road, Carters with Avenues, Clifton Hall, Gall Hill Development, Gall Hill and surrounding areas.

On Tuesday, August 14, areas to be fogged in Christ Church are Graeme Hall, Top Rock, Maxwell Hill, Graeme Hall Park, Graeme Hall Terrace and environs.

On Wednesday, August 15, the team will return to Christ Church spraying Maxwell Main Road, Maxwell Terrace with Avenues, Maxwell Gardens, Hilton Road, Mahogany Court and environs.

The exercise continues in St Michael on Thursday, August 16, and Friday, August 17.

On Thursday, areas to be fogged are Pillersdorf Development with Avenues, Long Gap, Pembroke Road, Grazettes Court with Avenues, Grazettes Tenantry, Derriston Road and surrounding areas.

On Friday the team will be in Durham Close, Weston Terrace, Denton Road, Ulster Road, Brecon Road, Ealing Road, Rockhampton Road, Rochester Road and neighbouring districts.

Additionally, teams from the Vector Control Unit will continue to carry out fogging and other treatment activities in and around the Graeme Hall Swamp and other areas impacted by the sewage spills on the south coast.

The fogging exercises will be carried out between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter. (BGIS)
