Almost $7 000 in equipment has been stolen from a St Lucy church in the latest case of sacrilege.

Bishop Marcus Hinds of Bethel Pentecostal Church, at Lowlands, told the NATION on Tuesday that when he arrived for service on Sunday, he discovered the church had been broken into. The culprit(s) entered through a window.

All of the equipment, including a new lawn mower, table, mixing board, computer, television, projector, two monitors and two speakers were taken. Additionally, the alarm was destroyed, all of the wires were pulled out and the electricity was cut from outside.

“The only thing they did not carry away was the horn on top of the church,” Hinds said. (SAT)
