Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, Gordon “Butch” Stewart, has signalled his resolve to keep faith with Barbados, as the country works to regain a stable economic footing.

In a message delivered on his behalf on Friday, the head of the Caribbean hotel empire gave the assurance to Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and the country.

“Sandals will be there with you shoulder to shoulder, working together as a true partner to help you achieve a brighter and more prosperous future . . . .

“While Sandals may be just one hotel group, we fully intend to pull our weight to help bring about the stability and success we all want to see for Barbados,” Stewart stated in a message read by senior vice-president of sales for Unique Vacations Inc., Gary Saddler. (GC)
