The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is reminding the members of the public that it is important to store an adequate supply of water for themselves, their family and their pets during the hurricane season.

The minimum recommended amount for drinking, food preparation, and personal hygiene is five (5) gallons per person, per day for at least five (5) days. Additionally, water must be stored in clean, covered containers.

Please follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Health for further information on safe water storage.

The Authority would like to urge all Barbadians to always be prepared and stay safe during this hurricane season. (PR)
