The Barbados Water Authority would like to inform its customers in parts of St Joseph and St Thomas who were today affected by a water outage, that pumping has resumed from both of the facilities that send water into the Castle Grant Reservoir which in turn feeds these areas.

Water has been restored to customers in Lammings, Branchbury, Bonwell and surroundings areas and it is anticipated that once levels at Castle Grant improve, the water supply via the tap will be restored to all of the affected districts. Low pressure may be experienced initially, however, until the levels return to normal.

The BWA further advises that its tanker fleet will continue to assist those residents of affected communities which are currently still offline.

The water service has also been restored to areas in St George, St Philip and Christ Church affected by water outages earlier today, as a result of power outages which impacted some of the Authority’s pumping stations.

We thank our valued customers for their patience as the Authority continues to restore water to all affected customers.

Customers Service Agents may be reached at telephone number 434-4292 or email address customercare@bwa.gov.bb. (PR)
