Landowners who don’t upkeep their properties are being put on notice. Minister of Environment and National Beautification Trevor Prescod, has issued this warning, asking the owners to ensure their estates were cleared of bush and the dreaded cow itch vine.

“All land owners whose lands are in that kind of state, overrun by bush, especially with cow itch, I would like to encourage them to do what is right to make sure they debush and clean their land so the state would not have to intervene.”

He cautioned that if the state had to do the cleaning up on private property, “then the owners can rest assured” the bill would be sent to them.

His comments came in the wake of the ongoing removal of bush from around Blackman And Gollop Primary School, which on several occasions has been affected by cow itch. (TG)
