CORONER’S INQUEST

FOUR WITNESSES are expected to be called when the inquest into the hanging death of Corey Antonio Best resumes in the Coroner’s Court on March 7 at the Cane Garden Municipal Complex in St Thomas.

Coroner Manila Renee is conducting an investigation into circumstances surrounding the death of the 34-year-old, a tiler of Hopefield, Christ Church, who was found hanging in a cell at the Oistins Police Station on April 13, 2017.

Best was in custody in connection with the theft of a cash tin containing an S6 cell phone, $3 700, a Canadian passport and a number of credit cards belonging to his cousin David Kola, who was visiting from Canada.
