Trio facing drug charges

Earlier today, members of the Drug Squad arrested and charged Latecia Samantha Nurse, 37, a receptionist of Briar Hall, Christ Church, Tyson Jermaine Ward, 40, a Customs Guard of #12 Vauxhall Gardens, Christ Church and Mark Anthony Springer, 33, unemployed of #5 Plumgrove, Lodge Road, Christ Church.

Nurse was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, trafficking cannabis, and importation of cannabis.

Springer and Ward were charged with acts preparatory for the purpose of trafficking cannabis, and trafficking cannabis.

All appeared at the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court, Blackmans, St Joseph before Magistrate Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell.

Mark Springer and Tyson Ward were each granted $15 000 bail with one surety and Latecia Nurse was remanded into custody to HMP Dodds, St Philip. All three are scheduled to reappear on Tuesday, March, 12. (PR)
