Stuart and Clarke remanded
Twenty-one-year-old Hakeem Roberto Stuart of Shelbourne Gap, St Lawrence, Christ Church appeared in court today, charged with a number of offences which occurred on March 21 at Sheraton Centre, Sargeants Village, Christ Church.
He was charged with the murder of Damian Trotman of Foursquare, St Phillip and recklessly or unlawfully discharged a firearm in a public place to wit, Sheraton Centre that placed a number of people in danger of death or serious bodily harm.
He appeared at the Bridgetown Magistrates’ Court today before Magistrate Graveney Bannister, where he was not required to plead to the indictable offences.
He was remanded to HMP Dodds and is scheduled to reappear at the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 3.
Twenty-three-year-old Aziza Kebret Tsgaye Clarke, of Unit 4 Bonnets, Brittons Hill, St Michael, also appeared at the Bridgetown Magistrates’ Court, today facing seven charges that occurred on March 21, along Graeme Hall, Christ Church.
She was not required to plead to the charge of assisting an offender.
Clarke was also charged with assaulting a Police Officer in the execution of his duty, resisted arrest, and committing criminal damage. She pleaded not guilty to these three offences.
She was additionally charged with three traffic offences: failing to stop at the sound of the police siren, failing to register a motor vehicle – registration number MC92, and using a vehicle without having a policy of insurance. She pleaded not guilty to these offences as well.
Clarke was remanded to HMP Dodds and is scheduled to reappear at court on Friday, April 26. (PR/NATIONNEWS)
