One-two-three for Deane

Date:

Share post:

It was another fantastic day for in-form trainer Liz Deane as she landed a treble at the Garrison Savannah yesterday.

Deane’s charges No Not Again, Island Cotton and Debonaire David (in that order) – all owned by Hopefield Stables – dominated the featured Garrison Savannah Handicap over 1 100 metres.

No Not Again, like he did in the Spa Sprint Stakes on Gold Cup Day, rushed to the lead in the race for three-year-olds and older rated 110-90 and below.

With regular rider Anderson Trotman up, he effortlessly motored into the homestretch, but Debonaire David, after a giant surge from the back, mounted a challenge coming for home. (LY)
