Police were alerted to today’s stabbing death by a telephone call.
Personnel at the nearby Boarded Hall Police Station in St George received a call from a male who reported that there was an altercation between a male and a female.
He said a man stabbed the woman and fled the scene.
When police arrived at Frere Pilgrim, Christ Church, they found the body of a woman in front of the verandah of a house.
The woman is 39-years-old and her identity has not been released.
Police have launched an investigation. (PR/SAT).
