We may be down but we are certainly not out.

That’s the reassuring word from General Secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) Toni Moore.

She was speaking to members of the media at today’s BWU Family Fun Day and Wreath Laying Ceremony at Solidarity House.

Moore said the  theme for this year Revive, Re-Energize sought to boost the morale among members and assured them that things would get better.

“In our history as an independent nation we would have seen several peaks and lows. The BWU would want to convey this year to our members and workers in general, we may be down but we are not out. The same way in the past we saw those periods of valleys and then have been able to experience the mountain top again, we can get back there,” she said.

Moore said though everything was not going as the union would like, it has the strongest potential to be successful again. (DB)
