Andrea weakens in Atlantic
The first named weather system of the Tropical Atlantic Season has already weakened.
Subtropical Depression Andrea, which formed to the west south west of Bermuda, is said to be poorly organised.
The system is forecast to turn to the northeast and east tonight and weaken into a low remnant.
The hurricane season officially gets underway on June 1 and runs until November 30, 2019.
Each year, the World Meteorological Organisation releases the names of the storms for that year. They are based on lists compiled since 1953, and names are only retired if a storm has been deadly or destructive. After names are retired, another one is chosen from the list.
