IT WILL BE a case of déjà vu between Premier League champions Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme (BDFSP) and Weymouth Wales in the Barbados Football Association Champions Cup final.

The two titans of local football showed no mercy for their opponents on Sunday night at the Wildey Turf, as the Carrington Village-based Wales thrashed Brittons Hill 6-2 while BDFSP used all the weapons in their arsenal to shoot down Ellerton by a 7-2 score line.

Playing the night cap fixture, in front of a modest crowd and fresh from winning the league title a week ago, BDFSP, without captain Raheim Sargeant, who is serving a one-match suspension, were off to a dream start.

Failing to deal with early pressure from the soldiers, Ellerton found themselves a goal behind after just two minutes. Central defender Anson Barrow deflected an Antonio Arthur strike from distance into the back of his own net. (AGB)
