American visitors missing
Two American visitors have gone missing in Barbados.
Police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating Oscar Suarez and Magdalena Devil who are staying at Discovery Bay Hotel, Trents, St James.
Suarez, 32, and Devil, 25, arrived from the United States last Saturday and are scheduled to leave on Saturday.
On Monday around 2:34 p.m., they rented a jet ski from an operator at Holetown Beach and went for the ride. Both were wearing life jackets.
They did not return by 2:55 p.m. and the worried operator contacted other operators in the area to carry out a search, but they were not seen.
The police were contacted and both the Police Marine Unit and the Barbados Coast Guard conducted a search, extending as far as the Bridgetown Port.
Neither the couple nor the jet ski has been located and management of the Discovery Bay Hotel confirmed the guests have not returned.
Police investigations are continuing, and anyone with information relative to the whereabouts of Oscar Suarez and Magdalena Devil is asked to contact the Emergency number 211, Holetown Police Station at 419-1700, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest Police Station. (PR/SAT)
