Barbados’ Alex Sobers struck gold in the pool during tonight’s staging of the Central American and Caribbean Games at the Aquatic Centre.
He won the 18 and over 200 metres clocking one minute 53.30 seconds.
Danielle Titus took the island’s second gold for the night. She won the 15-17 girls 100 metre back stroke in a time of 1:04.64.
Barbados also gained silver through Tristan Pragnell, who touched the wall after 59.64 seconds.
Three-time Olympian Nicholas Neckles took bronze in the 18 and over 100 metre backstroke finishing in 59.52 seconds. (RG)
