Police identify stabbing victim

Police have identified the man who was fatally stabbed in the early hours of this morning.

He is 43-year-old Rupert Patrick Stoute, of Inch Marlow, Christ Church.

Stoute was involved in a disturbance in Fairchild Street in The City, where he was beaten by a group of men.

When police arrived, an injured Stoute was lying on the ground. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance and was later pronounced dead. (PR)
