Let Cabinet ‘take polygraphs first’

Let the Cabinet of Barbados lead the way in taking polygraph tests.

After that, customs officers will follow, outspoken Senator Caswell Franklyn said speaking in the Senate yesterday.

Franklyn, also general secretary of the Unity Workers Union which represents some Customs staff, said Cabinet should lead by example to show there was no corruption in high office in Barbados by being the first public officers to take lie detector tests.

“When Cabinet takes lie detector tests, I would advise customs officers to follow. Show them there is nothing to worry about. Lead by example.”

Franklyn was speaking in the Upper House yesterday, as members debated the Customs Amendment (No. 3) Bill. (BA)
