Barbadians who want to stay safe while navigating the World Wide Web now have a resource to help them do so.

The Ministry of Innovation, Science and Smart Technology, in collaboration with the United Kingdom’s Commonwealth Cyber Security Programme, has launched Get Safe Online, locally. It is a not-for-profit organisation staffed by security experts.

Persons may access the website at https://www.getsafeonline.bb for expert cybersecurity guides and tips.

The UK version of the website www.getsafeonline.org is a comprehensive resource for cybersecurity awareness content, and the organisation also coordinates targeted campaigns through the media to reach a wider audience.

Through the local website, the UK’s Commonwealth Cyber Security Programme has brought these services to the Caribbean. Barbadians may access a variety of services which will be delivered up until March 2020, through the Get Safe Online website.

They will be free of cost to persons accessing the website, as well as to government agencies whose work the programme complements. (BGIS)
