Scholarship and exhibition numbers up

There are more scholarship and exhibition winners this year than in the past two years.

During the 2019 CAPE results conference at the Erdiston Teachers Training College today, Deputy Chief Education Officer (schools) Joy Adamson said there were 27 scholarship winners and 36 exhibition winners, compared to 25 scholarship winners and 34 exhibition winners last year and 26 scholarship winners and 19 exhibition winners in 2017.

This year Queen’s College grabbed the lions share of winners with 16 scholarships and 17 exhibitions.

Harrison College earned 10 scholarships and 10 exhibitions; Barbados Community College a single scholarship and exhibition winner. The St Michael School earned seven exhibitions and the Christ Church Foundation School, one exhibition. (CA)
