Operators of public service vehicles (PSVs) are being advised to exercise extreme caution as they ply their routes.

This is coming from Acting Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of the Southern Division, Bruce Rowe, minutes before he participated in a panel discussion entitled Crime And Its Impact On Our Society, at the Rices Methodist Church, Kirtons, St Philip, yesterday evening.

“Be careful . . . picking up people at night, not picking up a one-man or two men in lonely areas. And persons have to understand what is happening in this society today and they have to be careful,” he told THE NATION.

Rowe said the PSV operators had to be cautious about what they did because it was assumed they were in possession of money because of the type of business with which they were involved. (JS)
